Yoga Classes

Yoga gives climbers amazing cross-training possibilities!

 

Rockreation offers a variety of yoga classes Monday through Thursday including Vinyasa, power flow and Yin-Yoga. Click on the Yoga flier for descriptions and schedule you can print out.

Monday/Wednesday - Vinyasa Flow with Kyuri (12:00-1:00pm)

Vinyasa flow (based on Ashtanga yoga) will move your body and breath through a series of postures that are strength and flexibility oriented, with focus on breath, asana, and meditation.

Monday/Wednesday - Zumba with Susie (7:35-8:35pm)

Zumba involves dance and aerobic movements performed to energetic music. Get your cardio in and burn up to 700 CALORIES per class!

Tuesday/Thursday - Wake Up & Flow with Sara (6:15-7:15am)

A light-hearted, fun, athletic Yoga class suitable for all levels. This class is a great way to start your day, enhancing energy, mood, physical strength and flexibility.

Tuesday - Franklin Method/Yoga with Cheri (6:00-7:15pm)

A movement education system that teaches hands on techniques to refine movement patterns and melt tension, improve posture and flexibility, increase proprioception and function. If you’re coming back from an injury, want to recover better, or you’re at a plateau in your climbing, join in.

Tuesday - Meditation with Sarah (7:35-9:00pm)

An easy class with ample guidance that draws on a combination of Yoga styles. Classes may include breath work and some gentle poses/movements.

Wednesday - Vinyasa Flow with Patrick (6:30-7:30pm)

A beginner/intermediate level class that will help you build strength and increase flexibility. Vinyasa is an energetic, athletic form of yoga where students link breath to movement as they move fluidly from one pose to the next.

Thursday - Viniyoga with Michael (6:30-7:30pm)

This class is a combination of Yoga exercises, building strength and increasing flexibility through asana (poses), breath and meditation.

Friday - Gentle Yoga with Ruth (5:30-7:00pm)

Breath-centered gentle Yoga, introducing some advanced postures and inversion, including breathing exercises, pranayama and meditation. All levels of experience are welcome.

Friday - Partner Yoga with Diane (7:00-8:00pm)

This modern form of yoga is a great way to build strength, improve balance and concentration. This class is a fun blend of acrobatics and yoga. You do not need a partner to join this class!
